I realized yesterday that while I ADORE my pretty pink (and portable!) laptop, using a desk top with two screens is more conducive to working. As opposed to dicking around on the ‘net which is what I normally do. I am happy though, because I have a nice (and even more portable!) flash drive that I can use to bounce back and forth between computers with!
Thanks to websites like PortableApps, I can install my favorite software (including Firefox – complete with favorites) onto my usb key and take it with me wherever I go, including simply upstairs to the desktop! Makes doing things like visiting blogs and dropping Entrecards way more easy.
I personally use the Firefox app; but you can also find programs like GIMP and Open Office. Check it out!
