Let me remind my readers that I have sever “baby fever” – I have my gorgeous four-year-old boy, but I’m praying for “pink” next time! Unfortunately, since I went back to school I decided that I didn’t want to get pregnant until I was closer to being finished – I get my Bachelor’s degree (computer information systems / web development) NEXT October. That’s a year from now – so I am fully allowed to drool over cute baby girl stuff! I use the excuse that two of my best friends have four girls between them. So I have plenty of girls I can buy stuff for! One of those little girls is a little shy of being one year old – so I get to buy BABY GIRL stuff too!

So, thanks to my friend Elina of Parent Reviewers I was introduced to an English company called Start-rite Shoes purveyors of some of the cutest kid shoes you will ever see. Start-rite has boys shoes, girls shoes, sneakers, wellies (“rain boots” for us “Yanks”), pre-walker shoes and even dressy shoes. Start-rite even has a ton of information about sizing those shoes, caring for shoes and also caring for those little-bitty feet!

Start-rite even has great developmental information on their website. So – even if you aren’t really looking to buy new shoes right now – this is definitely a website you should bookmark for later.

I mentioned earlier that my son is four – so he’s in pre school right now. He is currently learning how to tie his shoes and is being a little lazy about it. He prefers a pair of shoes that are slip on and insists on wearing those instead of his “tie” shoes. He does own a total of three pairs of sneakers (slip on, tie and velcro), a pair of snow boots (also velcro) and some ‘crocs’ that are in severe need of replacement!
